the best breakfast ever. I love Ron's homemade French Toast....my bacon rocks, but Ron French toast is comforting. What a nice day. Ron cleaned his office, I cleaned the kitchen and made us a nice steak supper.......

NEBRASKA......and hello Mexico. Spent the night at a hotel in Omaha. Went out  for Supper at the Casino with Mike and Kendra. Had some pre Mexico drinks with our fellow Duncan Lakes friends......LIKE IS GREAT!! Too bad for the EARLY flight tomorrow......

Happy almost 103rd Birthday.....

...to my beautiful and gracious Grandmother. Today I headed for "home" to spend the day with Mom. Grandma and then to Sheldon's Wrestling meet in Battle Creek with my Sister-in-law Barb and Mom. It was such a wonderful day. I went out for lunch with Mom at the City Cafe. Spent the afternoon with Grandma, then loaded up and headed for Battle to watch Sheldon wrestle.

This is the end of my driveway that is FINALLY open to completely two lanes after the Christmas Blizzard....OK so it isn't completely open.....HOLY CRAP it is January 13th folks!!!

Entertaining yourself.....

is as easy as 1-2-3. First, pick up your pig, second, drop him down the stairs, three run after him.....repeat! So THIS is what happens when I am preoccupied with other things, Cheerio resorts to entertaining himself. He spent almost 20 minutes chasing that pig up and down the stairs and then three hours sleeping it off.

Smart cat......

..and here's the proof. After spending quite some time looking for McCook, I finally found her all bundled up in his little blanket on our bed. She found one of the softest and warmest places, my little lamb blanket. Sneaky little cat. I can tell you that she did this ALL by herself. She must have worked pretty hard to get her little nest made, and is quite comfortable there and will probably stay there for some time. Funny little girl.  I know she was thinking "please just take the picture and then leave". Love you cookie girl.

 

365 Assistant

McCook just will not stay away from the computer and me. If it is on the kitchen counter, she's there. If it is one my desk, she's there. If it is on my lap, she's there. I think mainly because the computer is warm, but it is also the place where Cheerio can't get her. As I was working on uploading my 365 photos for the day, she was right there with me making sure there were no typos and generally just staring at me. Since Cheerio came along, poor McCook has had lots of adjustments, but mainly getting use to a puppy chasing after her, but they have learned to tolerate each other. She is such a good kitty cat and a very good assistant....I love cookie bear!

of the day today is Ms Angie Stock-Landauer.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wonderful Sister-in-law who is not only a great SIL but a wonderful Mom and Wife. Here is wishing you a wonderful day, even though the weather is not cooperating, at least you are snowed in with your family. Here's to many more! Love you!!

I just get the biggest bang out of this photo. Look at how serious Angie was about getting a shot of her parents at their Anniversary party in July, 2009. After she managed to get her Dad's hat off, she meant business. I couldn't resist taking this picture of her :) She is such a fun person.

Same Song...different Verse

....and it just keeps getting worse. Another two solid days of snow on top of the already 18-20 inches we had, plus another four, plus ???????  I have a feeling we will have snow until the Fourth of July. Now you can add a nice stiff wind to this snow = white out conditions. I am glad that I am able to stay home most of today, except for a quick trip into town. The pets don't want to go outside today either and I don't blaim them. So I am off to do a couple of "snow day" projects that I have planned. Wonder what the rest of this month will hold.........

Back to the old.....

grind again. It is always so difficult for me to get back into my routine after almost nearly a month of Holiday preparations, celebrations and relaxing. It always goes by so quickly. This year was particularly relaxing after a Blizzard on Christmas Day snowed us in for almost three days. I have so many things on my agenda for 2010 that I look forward to crossing them off my list.  SO Monday morning is back to my scrapbooking duties, dishes, litter boxes, vacuuming, making the bed and.....

Happy News for 2010!!!

Today my beautiful Niece Alicia Boschen became ENGAGED to her wonderful boyfriend Andrew.  I am so excited for both of them. They are such a great couple and two really special kids. I can't wait to follow their lives along cause I know there are good things in store for this wonderful couple! Congratulations! Love you both very much!!!!

BLUEJAY Wrestling....

wins a team Trophy! I am so thrilled that my favorite group of Wrestlers won the NG Duals today! WHOOOO and congratulations to my Nephew Sheldon who won all five of his matches. It is so much fun for me to see how excited those kids get for each other. When one wins, they all win. Congratulations Bluejays! I am so glad I got to make it to the Tournament and still made it back in time for our "Cancun meeting"

HAPPY NEW YEAR every one! It seems so weird to be celebrating 2010 already but it was a great New Year. Ron and I so enjoyed ringing in the New Year with our friends at Duncan Lakes. They are all so awesome and we love you guys! Thanks for making the start of 2010 awesome! Now it is time to watch some football. That is our pact for today....DO NOTHING! So Nothing is what we are going to do. Here's to a great 2010 one and all.
