Merry Christmas One and all.....

Well......this is one Christmas that I really appreciate being home. I WILL NOT go into the whole trip home from our cruise story, but needless to say Delta Airlines, may be flying me free of charge sometime soon!

The main reason for me logging in tonight is to wish all my ONLINE friends and family members and very Merry Christmas today. Much love to each of you and watch for updates of our trip and some Christmas photos.

Cruising for Ron & Kristin....

yes....that is correct. Mr Ronnie Boy and I are going on a cruise is just 6 days. I have mixed feelings. I am soooooo excited about being warm, after all this snow, and having a few days to myself in the sun with some sort of coconut drink.....BUT I am scared as hell that I wont make it home in time for Christmas, we are scheduled to get home on the Saturday before Christmas, but weather happens and it makes me sick just thinking about it. It would be the first time in 38 years that I have missed Christmas, but everyone assures me.....it will OK!

This is not the publicity that I would ever dream of for our state. Headlining CNN! NEVER, but here we are. So in response to someone who posted on our states News site over the weekend...yeah..we were concerned with who would be our next football coach and if that was all we had to be worried about it must be nice....well you got your satisfaction....we have ALOT more to worry about now! I think it says ALOT about a place where all we do have to worry about is a football coach...I don't mind being in our shoes....................until today!

As I have told many.....and in a weird way I am honored to say this and be from Nebraska. BUT....

WHEN SOMETHING HAPPENS IN NEBRASKA IT HAPPENS TO ALL OF US!

My heart and prayers go out to all those innocent people who were just there shopping and enjoying the day. My heart has had a hard time going out to the victim.......suicide is a terrible tragedy, but why take totally innocent people with you!! I just don't get it.....can you not see the beauty in human life....

I guess after hearing a story about a woman who was frantically trying to escape with her CHILDREN....COME ON!

I am very sympathic and forgiving person....but why....why hurt people who were so totally innocent after loosing a job at FREAKIN MCDONALDS!!

Christmas has Puked in my house....

OMG I have been working and working and working to get my house decorated for Christmas! Every year I swear that I am going to make it easier on myself....I have come a long way in my ability to organize all these decorations.......BUT

THANK GOD Ron helped me tonight cause I was getting bored, tired and ticked off that the decorating was taking me so darn long........my feet hurt, my back is killing me and I am absolutely pooped!!

Well it's almost curtains.......

On the 2007 NASCAR season! I can honestly say as a NASCAR fan this has been my favorite season. First, Clint Bowyer's first NASCAR win and second Clint's amazing run in the 2007 Chase for the Cup. What an amazing season for him, what an amazing driver and I have a feeling an amazing person. I have found myself a driver.......one which I respect and am very proud to call my NASCAR Driver....driver of the Jack Daniel's 07 car. Have a good run today Clint and enjoy your moment on the stage in New York!! Go Clint have a great run and know your fans.......have your back bud!

A race girl at home....

Week before last Ron and I sat down to go over our travel calendar as we do once a month. He looked at me and Said "Gosh, we have an auction in Kansas on the 6th, we are sure going to be close to the Texas Motorspeedway, when do they race there" I was like wellllllll the 4th. So two race tickets, a four hour truck drive, some auction work and a very icky hotel room later, we are in Gainesville Texas in time for Tomorrow's Cup race.

Well as you can imagine.........my excitement is the usual....VERY!! So in honor of this very wonderful weekend. I am going to share a picture of none other than.......

My niece insisted on me taking this picture of her holding and Easter Egg...I really didn't want the Egg in this picture Our sweet niece Cassidy. She is such a pumpkin and we just love her to pieces. My nephew is such a good kid. His faith is very important to him and it was such a pleasure to be able to share his special day with him..... Sheldon on his confirmation day with his gorgeous cake. Sheldon is such a special boy, so talented and totally irreplaceable and one special Nephew.

November!

WOW! How did it get to be November already. Wednesday afternoon before leaving for an Auction trip Ron and I put our boat in our barn. It seems like it was just going into the water a few weeks ago. Now it stored away ready for next spring. Crazy!

Another sign....I keep getting emails and flyers in the mails announcing Holidays sales and upcoming holiday events. AMAZING. How can it possbily be close to Christmas?? I started workin on our holiday cards to get those done. This might be the Christmas of the Gift Card. (hehehehe)

Time to sign off and head down the road.....Ron and I are in Hutchinson, Kansas to pick up some signs and then heading for our auction site just down the road at Conway Springs, just catching up on computer time.

Serious or fun, the nearest addiction I have is food, but even I can control that. WELLLL what a week I have had...seriously...one...

Week....UGGH! What started off as a nice week last week.....ended up with Ron has his Hernia Surgery last Thursday...one week from today. His outpatient procedure....turned into the procedure from hell. On Sat...he was in the hospital again...this time with sleeping bowels, a fever and an infection. NO wonder I am tired. He is improving everyday, but when Ron doesn't wake up until 9:30 during the week.....you know he is sick. I have to download the pictures from my camera of Ron leaving the hospital!!

Can I just say....

How freakin SICK and TIRED I am of hearing nothing but how the Huskers got beat by OSU...GET OVER IT ALREADY it is a flippin football game. GOD! That is ALL the Media is talking about here at home and for the love of the lord is there not ANYTHING else we can talk about.

I will................what a lovely lovely Saturday we had. Our friends Pete and Sara got married and a good time was had by all. I should say a great time was had by all. I have some pictures which are on my camera trapped till I find my cord (AGAIN)!! Their wedding was beautiful. Despite and endless mist and rain, it was loads of fun and happiness all around. CONGRATUALTIONS to two awesome awesome people.......(and the photo is the proud groom and Ron)

Sunday......was a day of COMPLETELY nothing. No NASCAR race to watch so I made Ron's day by letting him watch Gunsmoke on TVland...you knew it was bad when even RON told me to change the channel. SO after a g oods night rest while listening to a gentle rain all night on my roof, I feel pretty darn good this morning.

I am behind on a couple of my scrapbook assignments and our home phone is out, but you know......I am not half bad today.

It is hard.....

to be a NEBRASKA Husker football fan in these troubled times....so screw them...HAS ANYONE NOTICED our AWESOME VOLLEYBALL TEAM. The number one ranked team in the nation!! THOSE girls freakin rock!! Man...now that is treat....watching these girls rock a volleyball court.

....and here is for my NASCAR Driver Clint Bowyer. You my friend are just rocking awesome. In the chase by chance my big german hind end....NO WAY! You deserve to be there and there is one girl in Nebraska who just loves her NASCAR driver. Bring it home Clint....bring it home. We love ya man.....

I have had one (BLANK) of a day....

We just completed an auction and are finally home! Just getting ready for some Husker game time. The hardest part about today...........the WIND! The relentless wind. The blowing hot relentless wind. OH and my Heel spur from two years ago........IS BACK! I can hardly walk....so that rules out running for me :)

Well it is time to take my shower and head to a Husker party. WHAT THE HELL is up with the Nebraska game starting at 8:00!! HOLY crap this is central time.....I am going to be asleep by halftime :)

GO HUSKERS!! I know it is going to be an uphill battle....but hopefully it will be worth watching....

We sure did have some fun taking this photo after the Kansas race, before we left for home. Pat and I are the Clint Bowyer fans. I think Pat is a Jack Daniels fan, while for me it is ALL about that driver. IMAGINE THAT. Judy insisted that all the fans of each driver gather together for a photo. If Ron Stock would NOT have been on the phone.....he too would have been there...tying us with the Jr. fans!! WHOOOOOOOTTTTTTHHHOOOOO!!

More Race fun.....

Let's just say I was getting into the "Spirit" of things :)

It's hard to keep a Race girl Down....

Even though we had a two hour rain delay, there was NO WAY I was leaving the Kansas Speedway until someone told me that it was impossible to finish the race.

Ron took this picture of me soaked as a drowned rat, but look how happy I was I knew that if and when we went back to green flag racing Clint would finish better than if the race had been called.......and as luck would have it, he did.

Well.......

.....as hard as it was for me.

I had to pack up and come home from the Kansas NASCAR Race.

WOW. What a race weekend. Clint pulls of an awesome Bush Finish and me nearly half a bottle of Jack :) KIDDING

Sunday rolls around....Clint Bowyer is running like he is on fire...then a Severe Thunderstorm warning moved ALL the fans under the Grandstands....you get a little unsettled when you hear "there is Severe weather in the area, please exit the Grandstands and move to a safe area" Where in the name of God are you going to find a safe area at a speedway??? The crappers were packed :)

ANYWAY....after a two hour rain delay we went green flag racing and despite the fact that Greg Biffle was considered the winner....Clint was second, but technically should have been the winner...BUT I am sort of over it cause he now is in THIRD place in the Cup Points.....and he isn't done yet.....

Is wrong with me....I LOVE to blog, but I have been so out of it...WAIT I have crazy ass busy....that could be why. I was at a Farm show for what seemed like a million years, then it was the USC game, the Clint Wins NHIS cry fest, the Company meeting on Monday, Auction on Tuesday and Catch up catch up today....UGGH. I feel like a freakin truck has run me over.

I am still on a THANK THE LORD Clint won high. At this time next week we will be done with the Benkleman Auction and on our way home to get ready to leave for the Kansas City NASCAR race to watch Clint.....OH and those other guys :)

I am so excited. Let's get through the NPPD auction on Friday, spend a few nights at our cabin and then pack up and head for Western Nebraska...then home and off to my favorite vacation NASCAR!! FINALLY!

SO on the weekend of my 16th Wedding Anniversary, the weekend of the big USC/Nebraska game. Here is the story......

Five weeks ago......I promised myself that I would NOT BLOG ONE MORE WORD until Clint Bowyer Won a Cup Race. I NEVER mentioned a word to anyone about this, but it seemed like everytime I bloged about him....something not right happened.....

BUT TONIGHT I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE THAT MY DRIVER....MIDWEST DIRT DRIVER KANSAS CLINT BOWYER won his first NASCAR NEXTEL CUp race........

and OH what a sweet sweet moment for us fans....his quote says it all....

"I'm not going to kid you, I was about to throw up on those last 30 laps," Bowyer said in Victory Lane.

......and that is why I love Clint Bowyer.......tell it like it was bud....tell it like it was......................

I think that might be the LONGEST I have ever went without updating the ole blog, BUT man has it been hectic. Well, if we could manage to drag ourselves away from the lake we might actually have more time :) OH well....all is well.......what to blog:

1. I am tired! We had an auction today and it was HOT! Imagine that! It was a Twlight Auction and it was darn near a Midnight Auction. There was ALOT of stuff and we probably should have started it a little earlier, but OH WELL!!!!!!

2. WHAT a great holiday weekend we had! I can NOT believe we came home from the cabin this MORNING, it feels like days since we were there, but shhhhhhh it is nice to be home. My cats missed me ALOT!

3. Man oh man does my heart got our to Ricky Rudd. He took a nasty hit in the NASCAR race on Sunday night and has to take a week off.....and it official this is his last year racing (insert big tears)

4. Congratulations Clint for pulling off a top 20 with a wrecked race car!! THANK YOU ROBBIE GORDON...you Moron :) OH and Clint I found something in a box of goodies I bought at the auction tonight....and Jack Daniels Shot glass.....It says "There is Nothing Like Jack Daniels" It is your lucky charm now. GO CLINT! Get us in the chase :)

5. Fifth and final for tonight. Congratulations to my BELOVED NEBRASKA CORNHUSKER FOOTBALL team on there big win over Nevada on Saturday!! WHHHOOOOO!!
