HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME......

....and it was an interesting one! Despite the fact that I had to work an auction. It was pretty good. Aunt Carolyn made me this cute little Rice Krispie Birthday treat....Isn't it CUTE!!!

A GORGEOUS day....

Once the 45 MPH wind went down!! It was almost 80 degrees today and it was much welcomed and much enjoyed. Ron and I spent the day doing some odds and ends at our cabin and then headed out for an evening boat ride.......along the way we met a cute little friend and her cute little family!!



They were just sitting along the bank sunning themselves and they were just tooo cute!!

Fridays ROCK!

Iam so glad to be safe on sound at the cabin.....looking forward to our boat going into the lake for the first time this year!!!!!!

Wednesday Woes

...and I just can't shake them. I had one of those days where I wasn't focusing on the good carma stuff. I was mad and angry and hurt and upset all in a matter of a few hours, I am trying to learn to not be, to focus on the things that bring me happiness and joy....so I thought.........of my friends and that I could NOT pick up Joels call even though I wanted to during our meeting.....

the last lift bar at the base of Keystone Mountain in Dillon Colorado has been somewhat of a stopping place of ours for the last years. Everytime I go there I make new memories and I remember the good times that I have shared with family and friends singing, dancing, eating and enjoying Libations......

I don't think there is too many times that I will look back at any of our sking picture and first NOT find a photo at the Last Lift Bar, but mostly think of all the wonderful times we have had just being alive and celebrating with the people we love the most....

My Favorite Recent Layout

A recent layout about my "aunt" Carolyn. She is such a good person and I am glad she is my Aunt. I really really love this kit I used as well.......it ROCKS!! Scrappin Nuts Royal Beauty kit and Sienna Springs kit were used to create this layout. These kits can be found at Treasures to Scrap and they really are beautiful!!

If I would have had.......

a baseball bat or someother hard instrument...I would have wacked myself over the head today and ended it all. This was by far the most MISERABLE auction day in my entire 20 years of Clerking. I was wet and cold to my core. The last 100 items I would have been satisfied if we would have sold the entire row to go, but we got done early and my extrememly red and hurting fingers finally got a much needed warm up....and PLEASE let our next auction be warm......cause I DESERVE IT!

My little day this week without and auction. I tried desperately to create a couple of layouts, but NOTHING. I was just happy to get to the lake and get ready for tomorrow and the Behlen Auction.

A Husker fan for the Hawks.....

....the Kansas Jayhawks that is. I am very glad that KU won their Basketball game last night and will be playing Monday night for the NCAA Championship. I have NO problem cheering for Kansas because of Clint Bowyer. Does NASCAR have an effect on my life....apparently :) Because Clint Bowyer reigns from Emporia Kansas and is a Jayhawk fan....thus I am also cheering for KU to take the Championship!!

It's FINALLY Friday....

...and thank the lord. A wonderful day for me. I ran to Columbus to pick up some stuff I needed at our cabin and then hung out with our friends at the lake. I LOVE this place. I would rather spend all my spring and summer weekends here than any other place. I feel awesome! I am happy, comfortable and in one happy ass mood! Life is good. The weather rocks....the ice is gone and it all up hill from here!!

A little thing......

Happy Birthday.....

to my Daddy.

Today would have been your birthday and I MISS YOU!!!! I miss you sooo much, more than words can say. I would love to share so many things with you.....our boat, the cabin, Ron's airplane, the big yellow truck, blue rock shooting, Sheldon at state wrestling, Alicia's boyfriend, Seth's position of authority, Jessica's State FFA, Cassidy. Sometimes......I think about you and you are what motivates me, and I try to be a better person because of you. I try to make the most of everyday because you would have enjoyed all these days with us! I LOVE YOU DAD! Thank you for being one of the best things in my life........

That I am home and (excuse my french) but DAMM glad to be here. It must have been a long week for everyone, cause even my Cat is sleeping on my head tonight. Guess she didn't get enough time to welcome me home. We spent the entire week traveling to and from auctions. I am really quite surprised how fast the ride home actually went, even if it was late when we got here at least we got here!!

So Friday it is catch up and clean for Easter. I am trying to motivate myself to get it done, but I would rather sleep. HEHEHE.....

My Favorite Layout.....

This is a really crazy ass photo of Ron and I!! It is almost hilarious, but I really love this layout. I created using supplies from Kjoi Studios and I have NO idea how this layout came to me. I started off struggling with it...and then all of the sudden ended up with this.

This is my journaling: This photo just makes me giggle. Our hair is a mess, Ron’s mouth is half open, but it is still one of my favorites. The good news is, at least we have our shades on, hopefully that distracts away from the apparently bad hair day we were BOTH having. This is was taken by Angie after we arrived back on the ship after our stop in Nassau on our cruise. 12-17-2007.

Our first....

Bonfire of the year was Thursday night and it was definately worth the wait. It was such a beautiful day and the evening was perfect, except we could have used something to sit on RON STOCK :) hehe....anyway, there is nothing I like more than Hot Dogs on an open fire. YUUUUMMMYYYY and My friend Molly brought Smores......what fun we did have, as soon as I get my Camera in here I will post a few photos from the evening. OK got a few photos....more to come.





So tonight we decided to go to the Lake. Not near the beautiful of night as last night, but as least it is Friday night!! WHOOOO!

Food Issues.....

I am having some serious issues lately, like NOTHING sounds good to me. NOTHING....not even Pizza, however Chocolate sounds good. (hehehe) In that case I should lose weight right? Oh no...of course not...NOW why would THAT happen. Maybe I am just in a cooking rutt or maybe I really am not sure what I want to eat, but when it comes to cooking or eating it all seems like a big challenge. I have had some really good walks this week and really been watching what I eat, but that darn scale...well it is stuck! Guess I will have to bump up that workout a little.

WOW this is an exciting post isn't it :) I guess I just have alot to do too, but don't feel like doing it today, must be the last nice day that has me wanting to just enjoy the day.

SO much for that.....off I go!

Hump day.......

I have NEVER EVER been fond of Wednesdays but today I managed to finish everything on my list of 10 things to do!! YEAH....mostly I am pumped that Ashley helped me get my cabinets loaded that I have been staring at for five weeks thinking to myself "Hummmmmm how am I going to get those to the Lake". Well now they are loaded just not at the lake.

Panic Mode.....

I have been on a roll the last few months, scrappin like a Mad crazy woman...and now for some reason I have hit a creative hault. SCREEEECH.......so I finally did a layout and lets just say......WHERE THE HELL DID THIS COME FROM.....probably my least favorite layout ever, but ahhhhh my little Towel Animals photos are scrapped.......something positive has to come out of this creative rutt.

Momentum is turning.....

...for Clint Bowyer. I can feel my driver coming back to life. UNLIKE SOME drivers who have off weeks that never come back, I can feel Clint gaining momentum. WE LOVE YOU CLINT BOWYER! Our dirt driver gone NASCAR. Our Kansas Native......You my friend ROCK...I know about Bristol, but all is well, cause we got your back!

Today is my Mom's Birthday....HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMIE!!

The weekend at.....

...Camp Duncan. That is what we call our Cabin. Camp Duncan....just like the President has Camp David we have camp Duncan. That place always seems to work for me. I was stuck on this stupid layout for five days and went to Duncan and in 1 hour I was done.....so tomorrow, I think after another walk around the lake and some NASCAR I will be good to go! Here is our little #18...it don't look like much from the outside, but looks can be deceiving.

Beaver remorse.....

Well our defending State Champs got beat out at the Nebraska State Basketball Tournament tonight. I was kind of sad for our boys that they lost, but that was a tough game, they played great and then something well to crap. Life isn't near as exciting in St. Edward this State Basketball weekend as it was LAST State Basketball weekend...TRUST ME! That was a Night NO one will forget.

Almost one month....

Since I stopped eating Chocolate and Potato Chips...UGGHHH!! This plain and simple is HARD, BUT I have been doing just fine. Man take a close look at this photo....it is a CHOCOLATE COVERED POTATO CHIP!! YES....that is right. The Chocolate and Potato Chips lovers dream :)



Now it is on to Diet Coke and carbs. The carb thing...I am just limiting the bread thing......

Oh and my new best friend is my little Bow Flex Stairclimber that Ron bought for me. We have both been using quite regularly. Ron watches flight training videos and I watch Cartoons. I know.....he likes learning....I like laughing. Makes my workout better if I can giggle through it.

Mini Challenge Layout....

I did this layout for a Mini-Challenge at Treasures to Scrap. We had to scrap a way in which we make others happy. I have to be honest...the idea for this layout came rather quickly, but the design was a challenge....but you know...I really like this. At first I hated it! I hated the title and everything about it, but the more I worked on it the more I began to like it.

This layout Kind of gave me a kick in the pants that I missed the smiley me and hate the cranky me. I stared at this photo of me and kept thinking....why have I been so darn mad lately.......it really doesn't prove anything. So here I am......laughter truly is the best medicine, or at least smiling has been for me.

This is probably going to be my favorite layout for the week.

Sometimes a woman....

Just has to CLEAN! I had CRAP loads and loads of CRAP all over my upstairs and IT WAS DRIVING ME ABSOLUTELY NUTS! SO I practiced my favorite technique of getting stuff done. 15 minutes of flying. NO not airplane flying....Flylady flying. Bye bye clutter hello happy place!

Some time for myself.

I have SOOOO much to do, but I just get what I can done, then I throw in the towel. I have NO idea why I am soooooo unmotivated this week other than I feel lost in time. Strange I know, but I think I am so glad to have a week at home that I don't even know where to start. I guess I need to start with doing something for myself. Hummmmmmmmm.....what to do??? Guess I will have to think about it and update this later. My Carma is all messed up.....when my carma is messed up....I am messed up!!

Here is what I don't get......

WHY would the people at the Speedway in California NOT Postpone the race earlier last night. Those poor drivers, their bodies are on Eastern time and they kept them up half the night telling them that they might race! I sincerely feel for everyone involved. So, it means my day is totally messed up. So much for my box sorting today!! Instead I am listening to Clint on his scanner and watching the race between some scrapping and cleaning my kitchen. Now I don't have to clean my kitchen later this week.

In Memory.....

Of My sweet Friend Jeannie who passed away over the weekend. I am absolutely CRUSHED to have lost this dear dear friend!! My heart is broken!!

I first met Jeannie online, when I showed up at Scrapfest in 2007 I was so nervous and the first person to run up to me wrap her arms around me and make me feel so comfortable was Jeannie. She instantly made me feel comfortable and very much a part of the celebration. I was constantly finding myself around her at Scrapfest.......she was truly a wonderful wonderful woman!

As scrapfest I won these really cool words that she made. Her husband cut the words out and she decorated them. I have one at my Cabin that says relax and it is in my window and everytime I look out at the water I have to look at that and everytime I always thought of her....TODAY even more......

I don't even know what to say. I am very very sad......She was one of the most beautiful people I ever met!!

On Placing 6th at the Nebraska State Wrestling Meet and Medaling in the 112 pound weight class. I am soooo proud of you!! We are so proud of you......Both Uncle Ron and I, what an amazing job you did. You are certainly a champion to me! (Sheldon is the one in the Blue on the right) He's MY nephew (hehehehe).

Friday night Wrestling update.....

Well here we are....at the Nebraska State Wrestling tournament and my nephew has wrestled his way to the Semi's. Tomorrow morning at 8:30 he is wrestling for 5th or 6th. WHEN he wins...he will wrestle for 3rd or fourth place. Not too shabby for a Freshman!!!! I am soooooooo immensly proud of this great boy!! Every moment of this state tournament has been awesome!! We all love you so much Sheldon and are so proud of you!! NO matter what happens you are a STATE MEDALIST in the 112 weight class!!!!!

OH man....

This week has been some week.

First, on Monday we had our Stock Realty & Auction Mandatory meeting. It was nice to attend the meeting and we had a nice one. It is so nice to see everyone without the pressure to being at an auction. Later in the afternoon as we listened to the weather Ron, Ray and I decided that it was probably a good idea to get one of us girls to Lincoln in case the other girls were delayed by weather...so I was the lucky girl. I packed up the ole Yellow Suitcase and headed to Lincoln with Ray...and without Ron. As much as I hate hotels anymore....it was nice to get a chance to be alone in a hotel and get some scrappin done. Ray, Don, Mark, JB and I went out to eat at Merle's which is our favorite place and man was it good.....seeems that soup we had earlier didn't stick with any of us. Note to the girls....stop putting water in the soup :)

As much as I hoped Tuesday's forecast would be wrong...It wasn't. IT SNOWED. The wind didn't blow till later which help our auction, but the girls still got delayed and I had the pleasure of registering people until they showed up which wasn't too early. Normally I would have been OK with it, but I needed to get home...BAD!! I had something I had to get uploaded and I needed my DSL :) So in the middle of a snowstorm.....I was Clerking....THANK GOD FOR DEB driving home or I would have been a basket case.

Today......it was a Kristin day. I needed to reboot myself as I call it. Do some scrappin, catch up online, check on my NASCAR boys, get my laundry off the pool table....so here I am.........

So because I haven't posted for a while....I wanted to post as a photo.....and here it is....a layout I did about our Shore Excursion to Grand Cayman while on our cruise.......I really like this layout and THIS KIT by Gretchen. I am on Gretchen's creative team and I really enjoy creating layouts for her.....

What to blog about!!

HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM I could blog about the fact that I am here in our cabin alone, even though it was my DH's idea to come to the cabin. I think it was a setup to he could drive 8 miles instead of 30 to sell tonight. THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS GOING. An auction did not appeal to me......as much as I love listening to my auctioneer boys...there was NO way tonight!

I am sooooo proud...

Of my Nephew Sheldon. He is quite the little wrestler and I could NOT be happier. Today he won his weight class at a wrestling tournament in Clearwater. I am so glad that I was there and that I brought Grandma to watch him. Here is a layout I did about Shel. His Dad (my brother) shared a bunch of wrestling photos with me and this was my choice to scrap.



AND for his sister Jess. Best wishes tomorrow on your contest Jessica. I love you and I know you can do it!! HUGS HUGS and lots of love to you.

A layout for each day of this month..and I DID IT!! I think I saved the best for last...I am LOVIN this layout....my 30th layout for January!



and I must say...yes it IS a racing layout!

Just try and make me mad.....well NASCAR Illustrated YOU have done it! NOT picking Clint Boywer to be in the top 10 in the Chase in 08. COME ON!!! You think he's a dark horse....NO way! I guess you people needed a place to put your AMP!!!!!!! Well JACK this! You have gone done and ticked off this Clint Bowyer fan. I will remain calm, and I will sit back and watch 2008. If Clint doesn't make the chase I will put on my big girl panties and admit I read 08 wrong, but if not.........WELLLLLLLLLL you can guarntee a nice letter to the Editor about this!! GO CLINT BOWYER!!

See here I go again...

with my no posting. Sooooo what can I say.....it has been a very nice weekend. Been home all weekend because I am still not feeling that hot. This could could have killed me I swear.

I have cleaned, scrapped and organized and even packed my bags for this upcoming weekend of being gone. SO far 2008 has been interesting. A cold I just can't shake, but MAN did I get ALOT of scrappin done this weekend.....YEAH!

Not too much else is new....Ronnie is making me steak on the GRILL.....YES a steak on the grill. It was such a beautiful day today. Ron was motivated to get his Land Auction traile sorted and I got a list of stuff as long as my arm done....which makes me very happy.

Well, it is off to eat supper for me....I would post some photos but the only ones I have are auctions ones on Ron's camera.......OK maybe I might later.
