Happy Birthday Kristin......

..and this is a toast to my dear Online friend Sherri. THANK YOU my friend for calling me and this Tequila shot was just for you. I told everyone at the table that this was a special toast to my friend Oscar that someday she and I will have one in person...and we will!!

Well my birthday has almost come and gone. In ways I am happy and in ways I am sad. Today, I had phone calls, emails, Private messages, online posts, text messages, cards and gifts from friends and family.

I am so grateful for all of those who love and care for me. THANK YOU all for wishing me a Happy Birthday....I could give a crap less about presents...I just care about you all.

The day before my Birthday.....

I am pondering the day before my birthday....really like none other. Every year, I sit and wish someone would do something extra special for me or surprise me and every year same ole same ole. I think it is time to throw in the towel and stop hoping for a miracle :)

So I have spent the entire day cleaning and sorting through some more of my messes. My many many messes on my road to organization. I sure wish I had a magic wand......I would wave that sucker and end all this madness.

I can not believe that I have a WHOLE ENTIRE week without and Auction. I can actually get some stuff done, instead of getting half way through and having to stop. My poor suitcase is going to wonder what is up. The other good news is....Ron told me he is going to be home all week too. CLAP CLAP! Yeah!

Well, I am in the process of redoing my little room downstairs. I am just going to play with it, move some stuff around and see how I like it.....just something to pull me together.

Well I am going to go ponder some more, finishing washing the bedding and see what else I can manage to drag out today.....

My lord was this a week!

I am personally very glad this week is OVER! I have been so busy. We had an auction in Lincoln and I swear I thought I was going into some sort of Consignor overload. 44 Consignors later, the auction is over, the reports are printed and the trucks are home...now on to this weekend.

This is my birthday weekend. I simply didn't even realize my birthday was this close. I keep thinking to myself. What can I do to enjoy my weekend because after all it is my birthday. I know I am going to watch the Busch race tonight, we are having some friends over tomorrow night and I am watching the NASCAR Cup race and Sunday..........AN AUCTION!! I guess my birthday gift is a day of clerking my fingers to the bone :)

In the meantime....I am going to have lunch with my friend next week and I am going shopping with my mom...so there you have it. Kristin's birthday weekend/week in a summary. Oh and I think I might have me a Jack and Coke and toast Clint Bowyer.

My Closet gone good.

Well...here it is, a picture of my newly cleaned and organized linen closet. Scary but those two shelves are empty and I don't know exactly what to put on them yet, cause I got rid of so much crap :) Yeah for Kristin!

My top Storage Issues...

Over the last year, I have been really working to sort, organize and better store our stuff. I have managed to reorganize lots and lots of our spaces but still have some issues that I would like to solved this spring.....here they are:

1. I have my linens, such as tableclothes, doilies, table runner, pillows, blankets, and lots of other stuff strewn ALL over my house.
SOLUTION: Get them all in one place; desperately working on this.
2. I have some very precious paper memorbilia that I don't want to scrap or display, but I want to keep. It is strewn all over the house in little nooks and cranies and it drives me crazy.
SOLUTION: Find the perfect place for it, sort and keep only what I really really want.
3. I have a collection of Snowmen and I would like to them all in one place as well. RIght now they are all wrapped and boxed following the Holiday, but it several pieces. I also need to sort it all out and decide what I really really love.
SOLUTION: Sort, Sort, Sort THEN store!

I have already managed to sort my craft and sewing supplies and find a home for them. I cleaned, organized and sorted my kitchen pantry where I storage all my picnic supplies and such, I also just sorted and reorganized all our coolers and got them paired down.

Right now, my main goal is to deal with storing that memorbilia. Beside the paper memorbilia I have some items such as Grandma's Wedding hankie, and some very precious household items that I don't want to display but want to keep...hummmmm this is going to be a LONG spring :)

Congratulatoins to John and Mindy!!

Ron and I would like to wish the very very best of all to our Cousin John and his soon to be Wife Mindy. Tomorrow is their big day and we are on our way to do a little pre-wedding celebrating with them.........I'll post some pictures later and when I dig my cable out of the box it is buried in :)

....and here is their picture from their wedding day. This was John and Mindy as they entered their wedding reception. They are the cutest couple! I just love them. Their wedding was gorgeous, the weather was beautiful and it seemed like all the guests had an awesome time.

Ron and I were one of their Host Couples and were very honored to be so. Thanks for asking us you to, we had a blast! Much love to you both.

Organizing Mania has hit.....

I had some sort of divine inspiration today and have been tossing, throwing and organizing and I am NOT done. First, I cleaned and organized my Craft supplies, which does NOT include my scrapbook supplies. It was mainly my floral supplies and sewing stuff. I was so happy to have it done!! I had a cabinet that came out of my Kitchen and utilized that to organize these craft items.

Then I moved on to the Boxes of Jewelry, hair ribbons, old bathroom supplies and just plain crap that was cluttering up my closet. I have this closet in my upstairs Hallway that houses all our linens, blankets, tableclothes, extra rugs and other misc linens. OH what a horrid mess this closet has become....since I forgot to take a before picture....I'll take an after, but first I need to get something to cover the shelves with. I had some old wall paper that belonged to my mom that used but it was just getting too toren up......

I am off to do more........!

I am bound and determined to get my Mexico Album done and I am well on my way....here is another layout using some of my pictures from the trip. This one just happens to be a layout about Ron and I. I like this layout...ALOT!

Easter Hunt Cassidy

My sweet Niece Cassidy is the only little one left to hunt eggs. How sad that all my "kids" are 19, 17, 16, 14 and there is Cass. It is hearbreaking to me to me to watch my beautiful kids growing up. I LOVE them all so much!!

Issues with my blogger........

I had a Wonderful Easter Sunday. I worked my little hiney off trying to get ready for the holiday, but it was worth it. My house is perfectly clean and the reward for me is that it is staying that way. My complaining about a Fozzball table in the middle of my living room turning out perfect. Ron and the nephews had a blast playing it so it was all worth it. The pool table still remains the most popular site in our home :) We really wanted to shoot some blue rock, but it was just too cold. The picture above is our nieces and nephews playing pool and having an awesome time.

1. Make sure your bag is the one on the top.

2. This is not a ergonomically safe way to transport luggage

3.Tip this guy....ALOT!

4. Ask “Is this an industrial strength luggage cart?”

5. Throw out all the black luggage

6. Pink tags DO NOT help your luggage stand out!

I miss you Dad! SOOOO Much! But Aunt Carolyn summed it up when she said "Well he is here......I just know it" Even though I can't call him like I wanted to ...........he is definately here. You inspire me to be my best.........always have...always will.

I LOVE you Dad and I hope they celebrate Happy Birthdays in Heaven....

Well, Spring is almost here! Yeah!! Clap clap!! Whoooohooooo! THANK the lord......in honor of the almost first day of Spring I want to share a layout I did using the Color green for a Scrapbook contest I was in. Ron took this picture in Mexico in January and it was perfect for the my contest entry, as well as the cover for our Mexico trip album.......

St Pat's Day...was nothing less than stellar. We are not much of the St. Pat's celebrating kind and celebrate we did not. Ron worked outside all day and I cleaned my house and watch the Busch race......which by the way.....was raced very well by BB&T driver Clint Bowyer!

I was glad it was Saturday and I was glad Heriberto was here to clean out our camper for us. Apparently, someone left the door wide open for like three months and every animal in Boone County Nebraska has had free run of our beautiful Dutchmen. It almost brought me to tears to see the mess inside...but THANKS to Heriberto....it is as good as new!
