This is my niece Cassidy wearing my hot pads. I have NO idea why this photo cracks me up but it does. I was laughing so hard........look how tiny she is..WOW....our little Cass.

Me with some of our little ducks we raised some years ago. I had the best time watching those little fellas grow up...for some reason they like me alot. It probably has something to do with the fact that I visted their shed.....all the time, but no one knew that...till now :) They reminded me of my Grandpa and Grandma Boschen......

A Kristin kind of day....

The weather was perfect. It was just a plain lovely day today.

I had a wonderful lunch with my pal Rhonda.

I got my new race scanner bought and charged up ready to listen to Kansas Clint next weekend (actually ONE week from today we are heading to KC!).

I got tons of crap done. My list is down to nothing BUT I have tons of scrappin left to get done before the end of the weekend. UGGH.......ok so not as much done as I had hoped, BUT that is ok cause I am a little ahead!

There is something quirky about me. I HATE posting without some sort of photo. Let's see.......

17 Wonderful years ago today.

Ron and Kristin Stock were married at Lindsay Holy Family Church in Lindsay Nebraska.

I am going in for some photos......OH lord...I have none. I so have to scan some in!!! Well anyway.....HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to us. WOW holy crap has time just sped by. We have had so many wonderful times together and so many things that I thank GOD I had Ron with me through.

Losing my Dad, losing Grandpa Stock, losing Grandpa Pfeifer...losing so much and so many people that we loved and cared about.

I try to only remember the good stuff...and there is ALOT more good stuff then bad. Being an Aunt and Uncle. Watching these beautiful children grow up in front of us. Being part of our friends and siblings weddings, anniversaries and birthdays.

Then there are auctions. Goin racin. Cheering for the Huskers. Playin pool. Goin bowlin. Hanging out with our friends.....life is good. AND NOTHING can replace all the wonderful memories we have had. We are so blessed and so lucky....

TO HAVE EACH OTHER!!!!

We were a perfect fit and always will be a perfect fit....we are Ron and Kristin.

I have...

What I call a Husker Harvest Days Hangover. Way too much time trapped like a rat at Husker Harvest Days. Man....Monday through Thursday at the same place. Not only did I not leave the Husker Harvest Days site, but I never left our lot. But I can honestly say it sure was nice to get the heck out of there!



I am so tired I can hardly move. I feel like I got hit by a truck! I have been completely out of it all day. It took me 15 minutes to find a Can of Chili for my Nacho's at the Grocery Store....then I spent 10 minutes looking for a pair of pants that were already in my bag.

Thus begins a weekend of recuperating.

Husker Harvest Days

Starts this week and it has been a long day of hard work and a little rain....and a hurt ankle. I fell into a hole in the tent and really really hurt my ankle. Really smart move Kristin......

You probably won't hear much from me this week, as I will be spending the whole week at Husker Harvest Days. Here are a few photos from setting up.

The race for the chase and CLINT BOWYER IS IN!!!!!! I love me some Clint.



Good god this was a long day. I have NEVER been through a longer race than this. There was nothing I wanted more than Clint making it in the chase and it is done.

I am soooooo happy for Clint. I am happy for the many Clint Bowyer fans who faithfully cheer for him every week. I am happy for RCR racing and the 07 team who work so hard to keep him racin. I am happy for Clint's family and friends who love and care about him.

These last 10 races are going to rock!

So I prayed. I cheered. I laughed. I hoped and I cried...and Clint made it. That was all I asked for!

How could....

...such a nice and fancy thing cause such a fracious?

OK here is the Story, which MANY of you have heard from me, but if you haven't, here it goes again.

Ron and I owned this wonderful Fifth Wheel Camper that Momma (that's me) so lovingly named Dutchie (again if you know me...this is nothing new..naming stuff). My love affair with Dutchie was deep and strong. So when we decided to sell Dutchie in 2007 after we bought our cabin, I was secretly hoping we didn't get it done.

So, following lots of ads and lots of people looking at Dutchie. She didn't sell. So as spring 2008 came. Ron said "Iam going to try and sell the camper again and if it doesn't sell by August, well keep it and take it to the NASCAR race in Kansas City and Husker Harvest Days". Great Life is good......again...I was secretly wishing for a No Sale to keep Dutchie in my life.

THEN ONE HORRID day.....Ron comes in the house and says "Honey I have something to show you" OK when Ron Stock says that followed by, "We are going to have alot of fun with this thing" I am always a little taken aback. So I walk outside to find this enormous Mobile Home sitting in our yard. Of course I am shocked and the first words out of my mouth were "Where the Hell is Dutchie"

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLll here is where it all went south. "I traded the camper in for this" WHAT!




Now some of you are probably sitting there with your Mouth hanging open thinking "What is wrong with this woman, look at this thing. BUT that is exactly the problem. I am trying to hard to uncomplicate and unclutter my life and then Ron drags home yet ONE MORE THING that I have to clean......

BUT for what it is worth....we will give Ron this much...I didn't want Dutchie either...or for that matter a cabin!

So why am I posting about this today?

Because I am currently taking everything that was in Dutchie and loading it in the Mobile Home for Husker Harvest Days. So far....everything in Dutchie fits in three Cabinets of the "new" one. Oops...did I saya that out loud...shhhhhh don't tell Ron.

KIDDING! It's Larry Phelps....well Actually my brother Larry teaching my Nephew Seth to Dive off our Dock yesterday. But I must confess that Larry sure has excellent form. I always knew Larry was a good diver, but now I have proof.

The Judges from Duncan give Larry a 9.0!! Team Boschen advances to the Gold Medal Round...GOD I MISS THE OLYMPICS :)

Restoring the order......

Holy STORM!!

Gaelic Storm that is! I have NEVER ever heard or been smitten with a band right off more than after hearing Gaelic Storm perform in Omaha tonight. WOW....just fantastic. I can NOT say enough wonderful things about this group of talented musicians.

This wonderful group of folks started off on the Big Screen in Titanic. OH and they are wonderful!

Girls day out....

I had the BEST day ever! I spent the day with my Mom and my Niece and I couldn't have asked for a better day. We had such a lovely day. We all went out for lunch, we to see Great Grammy, visited the ole homeplace, helped Granny with her computer and just spent some time together before Jessica left for school on Friday. I love you girls!! I am so proud of you Jessica and love you momma and Jessica!

I am glad....

that my assistant came home. Her name is McCook and she has been missing for several weeks...but here she is....



back in her usual position on my desk right next to my computer. Quite typically you can find her with her paws on the keyboard or her head on my hands. Crazy cat!

My new.....

little hero is American Olympic Gymnast Shawn Johnson....I LOVE this kid. She is such a cool girl and I am totally smitten with this little muffin. First, she is from Iowa, which is totally cool....and second I think she had gotten totally riffed tonight in terms of judging at the Olympics.......



But man she rocks!!!! and I think she is such a special girl! I think I am going to totally start watching Gymnastics from now on :)

Olympics, Flying, boating, pizza and more...

This whole day has been more about just having a good day.....doing what we want to do on our day. Including watching the Olymipics, Ron going flying, going for a long boat ride, ordering our favorite pizza and working on our computers. A wonderful day topped off with me...............

Vacation of sorts.....

or whatever we can call this. Not sure. It is not technically a vacation. Let's call it a sebatical....maybe a haiatis.....but at any rate, things are a little "Different" this week at the Stock house.

We aren't home but we aren't gone. We are gone, but were not.......so without any more information. I had a chance to reboot myself today and TAKE SOME PHOTOS...OMG call the Authorities!

this just once! And that is Four-Weelin down the driest river bed you can find with water now and then. OMG...this was a totaly spur of the moment thing for us, but HOLY CRAP was it fun!




I am so grateful to our friends at Duncan Lakes for inviting us to go along. This year, getting to know you all has been so awesome. You are all such wonderful people and I am very glad to know you all.

I particularly had a great time! I have ALWAYS been a four-wheeling girl. Growing up, I spent ALOT of my time driving through the pasture, then I advanced to racing through the pasture. I was such a wild woman, my brother's would even ride with me...little alone try and race me. I was fast :) Guess I always had that racin in my blood.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY..

...to my wonderful husband...Mr Ronnie Boy! Your the bestest Husband in the whole wide world and I love you very much! I am glad there are so many things that make you happy and that you enjoy so much. Your a budding pilot, the best Auctioneer that I know (sorry guys....), a good fisherman, Captain of your boat, Camper man, motorcyle rider....I could go on and on.......and a wonderful Husband and friend.

I thank god for you everyday....and after all these years...I FINALLY made a Race Car fan out of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is NUTS...

Heat Advisory in Effect today for Central and Eastern Nebraska where Heat Indisies could reach as high as 115! WHAT THE HELL! Sorry, but good lord, this is ridiculous. I would much rather take a nice comfortable 72 degrees. This is just stupid and I am getting tired of it being humid. This summer has not been too terribly bad....UNTIL the last couple of weeks, now I would rather see it gone!

Whew.....

THAT ended up being a great run for Clint Bowyer today in Pocono. What started off looking like another disasterous and unlucky day for my Cup driver ended up quite well with a nice comfortable 6th place finish for my boy. WHOOOOOOO! Thank the lord. We will take it and off to Watkins Glen next week with some MUCH need momentum.

Between driving home from the Cabin, attending our nieces and nephews birthday party, catching the first 20 laps of the cup race, carting Ron around with the truck, stopping at Molly's House, watching the Beaver Valley Days parade, come home to catch the last of the cup race, visting my forums, helping Ron make supper and then going to bed early.........

THIS was the busiest Sunday we have had in a while and I'll pass on another for a couple of weeks. MAN....I was pooped, but then again the fact that it was like 101 degrees out didn't help a thing.

I have some pictures from the Kids birthday which are on Ron's camera...so hopefully I can get those off of there and up here.....
